Method :

Peel oranges and remove all the traces
of white pith.

Cut into slices, catching juice in a
bowl.

Put juice, syrup and whisky into a pan.

Stir over a low heat until syrup melts,
but do not allow to boil.

Layer orange slices in a heatproof dish
(glass for preference), coating each layer with the melted syrup
mixture.

Finally sprinkle with coconut and brown
under a hot grill.

Cool then refrigerate at least 2 hours
before serving.
Simple in the classic sense, a light
and bright sweet to serve after a heavy meal. This whisky adds the
finishing touch.
