Steamed Butter Gourds
Stuffed With Grated Lotus Root Cooking Recipes

Ingredients :
Seasoning : |
375 g
lotus root
57 g ham
3 dried
black mushrooms
450 g
bitter gourd
Sauce :
2 tsp
boiling oil with garlic
light soy
sauce |
1 tsp salt
1 tsp
sugar
1 tbsp
light soy sauce
pinch of
pepper |
Method :
- Finely chop ham.
- Soak mushrooms until soft and
finely chop.
- Cut bitter gourds into rings and
remove seeds.
- Scald in diluted salty water.
- Rinse and wipe dry.
- Peel and grate lotus root into
puree.
- Mix with ham, mushrooms and
seasoning to form filling.
- Dab bitter gourds with caltrop
starch and stuff with filling.
- Steam for 10 minutes.
- Drain liquid from steaming butter
gourds.
- Add sauce.
- Serve.
