Method :
- Place lentils in a bowl of cold water; discard any that float to the surface.
- Rinse well under cold water.
- In a large frying pan, combine the onions, rice and lentils.
- Add the stock and garam marsala; bring mixture to the boil over a high heat.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 45 minutes, or until rice and lentils are completely soft.
- Garnish Kitchri with chopped spring onions, serve hot.
