Method :
- Preheat oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.
- Grease a Swiss roll tin.
- Put the margarine, sugar and
treacle in a thick pan and heat gently until the fat has melted,
stirring well.
- Stir in oats, dates and spice.
- Press into the tin.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Cool in tin for 15 minutes.
- Mark into squares or fingers with
a sharp knife.
- Leave in tin until completely cold
and then cut into pieces.
Note :
Flapjacks are always popular but these
are extra moist and spicy with the addition of dates.
